Immediate or Cancel Order
a.k.a. IOC
An order that fills whatever it can immediately and cancels the rest.
In plain English
An order that fills whatever it can immediately and cancels the rest.
An immediate or cancel order grabs whatever is available at your price right now. If only part of your size can be filled, you get that part and the remainder is cancelled.
Unlike fill or kill, partial fills are allowed.
