Abandoned Baby
A rare three-candle reversal pattern where a doji sits alone, separated by gaps from the candles on either side.
An abandoned baby is three candlesticks in a row: a strong candle in the trend's direction, then a tiny doji that opens with a gap away from it, then a strong candle the other way that gaps back. The doji is left stranded on its own little island.
The story it tells: the trend sprinted, suddenly stalled in total indecision, then the other side kicked the door in. In 24-hour forex, true gaps are rare except over weekends, so the clean version is uncommon. Treat it as a hint of a reversal, and look for confirmation.
