Fibonacci Spiral
a.k.a. Golden spiral
A spiral based on the golden ratio, overlaid on a chart to look for turning points.
In plain English
A spiral based on the golden ratio, overlaid on a chart to look for turning points.
The Fibonacci spiral grows outward in steps of the golden ratio (about 1.618), the same shape seen in some shells and galaxies. Traders anchor it at a swing and look for where price meets the curve.
It is more curiosity than core tool, and very sensitive to chart scaling.
