Fibonacci studies are drawing tools built on ratios from the Fibonacci sequence (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...), especially 0.618 and 1.618. The most used are retracements and extensions; others include fans, arcs and time zones.
There is no proven law forcing markets to obey these ratios. They matter because many traders use them, which can make them partly self-fulfilling.
