Gann Fan

a.k.a. Gann angles

A set of angled lines drawn from a major high or low at fixed price-to-time ratios, from trader W.D.
In plain English

A set of angled lines drawn from a major high or low at fixed price-to-time ratios, from trader W.D. Gann's methods.

W.D. Gann believed price and time were linked in geometric ways. A Gann fan draws lines at set angles from a turning point, the most important being the 1x1 line (one unit of price per unit of time, often described as 45 degrees).

Price above a rising line is read as strength. The angles depend on chart scaling, which is a common criticism.
