Trend Line
a.k.a. Trendline
A straight line on a chart connecting a series of higher lows or lower highs, showing a trend's direction and slope.
A trend line is the simplest drawing tool there is. In an uptrend, connect two or more rising lows; in a downtrend, connect two or more falling highs. The line shows which way the market is heading and how steeply.
It often acts as moving support or resistance: price tends to bounce off it. The more times it has been tested, the more traders watch it, and the louder the signal when it finally breaks.
Redrawing your trend line every time price breaks it, so it always agrees with the trade you want.
