In plain English

The currency of Mauritania in West Africa, one of the rare money units split into fifths instead of hundredths.

The Mauritanian ouguiya is Mauritania's money. In 2018 the country lopped a zero off it: ten old ouguiyas (code MRO) became one new one (code MRU). Like the Malagasy ariary, it is non-decimal: one ouguiya is five khoums. It barely trades internationally, so it is an exotic of the exotics.
