Nepalese Rupee
a.k.a. NPR
Nepal's currency, pegged to the Indian rupee.
In plain English
Nepal's currency, pegged to the Indian rupee.
The Nepalese rupee (NPR) is Nepal's money. Nepal does most of its trade with India, so it keeps its rupee pegged to the Indian rupee at a fixed rate (1.6 Nepalese rupees to one Indian rupee). Against the dollar, it simply follows wherever the Indian rupee goes.
