Truflation is a private, independent inflation tracker. Instead of waiting for the government's monthly CPI, it pulls price data from millions of products and services across many sources and updates its estimate daily. It publishes its data on blockchains so others can use it.
Some traders like it as an early hint of where official inflation is heading. It uses a different method and basket, though, so it can diverge from the official figures, sometimes a lot.
