Trading Psychology

a.k.a. Psychology, Trader psychology

Your strategy has a plan. Your heart rate has another one.
In plain English

The emotions and mental habits, like fear, greed and impatience, that shape how you trade.

Trading psychology is everything going on between your ears while your money is on the line. Fear makes you close winners too early. Greed makes you hold losers hoping they will come back. Boredom makes you trade when there is nothing to trade. FOMO makes you chase.

Most traders find that knowing what to do is the easy part; actually doing it, with real money flashing red, is the hard part. Written plans, fixed risk rules and trading journals are all tools to keep emotions from taking the wheel.
