In plain English

A three-line channel tool drawn from three swing points, used to map where a trending price might find support and resistance.

Andrews' Pitchfork, named after Alan Andrews, is drawn by picking three turning points. A median line runs from the first point through the middle of the other two, and two parallel lines run through those two points. The result looks like a garden fork stabbed into the chart.

The idea is that price tends to orbit the middle prong and bounce off the outer ones. Like any drawing tool, the result depends on which swings you pick, so two traders can draw two different forks.
