In plain English
Hungary's currency, code HUF, a floating Central European currency usually traded against the euro.
The Hungarian forint (HUF) floats, and Hungary is in the EU but not the eurozone. Its central bank has at times kept rates high to defend it against bouts of weakness.
It is an emerging-market currency, sensitive to politics, inflation and global risk mood.
