Pullback
a.k.a. Retracement
A short move against the main trend, like a breather, before the trend carries on.
A pullback is a trend taking a step back before stepping forward again. In an uptrend, price rarely climbs in a straight line; it rises, dips a little, then rises again. That dip is the pullback.
Trend traders love them, because buying a pullback in an uptrend means entering at a better price. Tools like Fibonacci retracements and moving averages help guess where it might stop. The hard part is telling a pullback from the start of a real reversal.
Assuming every drop is "just a pullback" and buying all the way down a trend that has actually reversed.
