In plain English

A huge sell order, or cluster of orders, sitting at one price in the order book, blocking the price from rising past it.

A sell wall is a giant pile of sell orders stacked at one price in an order book. On a depth chart it looks like a cliff. To push the price higher, buyers have to chew through the whole thing first, so it often acts like a ceiling.

Walls are not always what they seem. Some are placed just to scare other traders and pulled before they get filled (a practice called spoofing, which is illegal in regulated markets). Its mirror image is a buy wall.
