Unconfirmed Transaction

a.k.a. Pending transaction, Stuck transaction

A transaction that has been sent to the network but not yet included in a block, so it isn't final.
In plain English

A transaction that has been sent to the network but not yet included in a block, so it isn't final.

An unconfirmed transaction has left your wallet but hasn't landed in a block yet. It's floating in a waiting room called the mempool, along with everyone else's, hoping a miner or validator picks it up.

Transactions with higher fees get picked first, so a low fee on a busy day can leave yours stuck for hours. Many wallets let you speed it up by bumping the fee. Until it's confirmed, it isn't final, which is why accepting zero-confirmation payments is risky.
