Elon Musk runs Tesla and SpaceX and owns the social network X (formerly Twitter). In crypto he's best known as a market-mover: a single post from him about Dogecoin or Bitcoin has sent prices lurching within minutes.
In 2021 Tesla bought bitcoin and briefly accepted it for car purchases before dropping that, citing environmental concerns. For traders the lesson is less about Musk and more about how fragile prices are when they hang on one famous person's mood.
